Keepers Class: Quilling

Today we taught the girls an art form they had never heard of before… quilling! Some of them took to it right away, while others struggled at first. One thing is certain though, weΒ all had a blast!

Tear Drops

Yellow Tears

Star Quill

I Heart You

Petal Power

Having Fun!

Various Shapes

Let's Get Busy

Coming Up Roses

Hard at Work

"Falling" for Secret Sisters

In order to better prepare for the class, we found these links to be very helpful:

Quilled Creations Beginner Quilling Kit – YouTube

It took a few minutes for the girls to get the hang of things, but once they did, there was no stopping them! These girls really did have a great time!

Now that we have the basics of quilling down and the girls have had some practice, we are ready to move on to a finished project! Let’s see how we do with next week’s class!

Have you done any quilling? What project would you recommend?

  1. I have several books on quilling that I purchased from Half Price Books and I can’t wait for my daughter to be old enough to use them! There are a lot of beautiful things you can do with quilling!

      • Idk, some of that Hallmark paper is THICK (a bit too thick really! You could cut yourself when unwrapping a gift!). But yeah, origami paper sounds good. πŸ™‚

      • Only reason I have (it is ridiculously expensive!) is because I had a coupon for $10 off any purchase at a Hallmark Gold Crown store a few Christmases ago, and I found 2 large rolls of wrapping paper for $5 each, so all I had to pay was the tax! πŸ˜‰
