Among a myriad of other fun things I like to be involved in, I also happen to be the coordinator of the Yearbook Club for home school PSP. Today was our first meeting of the year and we decided to throw in a few twists!
Instead of doing things the “old-fashioned way” (meaning scrapbook form), we opted to join the twenty-first century and go digital. We had the kids bring in available laptops, while I supplied the images from recent events.
The first portion of our “party” was teaching them to insert pictures, edit them, and then add embellishments. They took to this right away, enjoying the new format just fine. Once we got past the learning curve, the rest of the meeting was a breeze.
Even though we thought the meeting would take longer than in previous years (due to the learning curve), we were pleasantly surprised to find that we ended early!
The kids did a great job! We learned a lot, had some fun, and got a lot accomplished.
