In the past year, our church has begun to host our own “Moms In Prayer” group. A group specifically designed to encourage moms to come together in prayer for the future of all our children.
Our group meets every Monday, either in the morning or in the evening. We get together and pray for one hour, lifting up our children and asking the Lord to help them in their areas of struggle.
This group is such a blessing. Prayer can definitely be felt and does so much good. Each day of the week we specifically pray for a different member of our family. (See A Time to Pray.) Once a week, we pick a specific person to lift up before the group.
I would highly recommend establishing such a group in your own homeschooling community or church. Prayer is always a good idea and the encouragement of others helps us to understand we are not alone.
Let the prayers never cease!
Does your homeschooling community, or church, have a prayer group specifically aimed at your children?
And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,”
