About

I suppose this page could contain any number of things about myself; I am married, I have four children whom I homeschool, and I like research and organization. While any of those might tell you the facts, they won’t tell who I am or why I do what I do. So…

Who am I? I am a young lady whose heart is to serve the Lord with all of my being in the role I play as a wife, mother, and teacher; to live my life to bring Him glory and honor while being a helpmeet to my husband and while preparing my children to be adults who will walk in God’s truth; that my life might be a blessing to those around me and further His kingdom.

My heart is that while reading my blog you would further your relationship with Him and that He would use this blog to help you accomplish that to which He has called you, whether it’s homeschooling, being a mom, being a wife, or just being a daughter of the King. May this blog bless you and better equip you in your service to our God and Savior.

  2. Thanks for taking the time to read one of my posts. I am enjoying perusing your blog as a result. I have taught for what seems like all my life in public school. Recently moved out of state and after a year of being a SAHM I have happened upon two great children who I am homeschooling the language arts portion of their day. Teaching with passion and purpose is my life… and I can see the we may just become fast virtual friends based on our mutual love for all things organization and structure, homeschooling, and our Savior! Read and write on!

    • Wow! I am new to the blogging world and I am excited that there are other ladies out there who want to talk about the same things I blog about. We do serve an amazing God that we just have to brag about. Home school has so many open ended conversations. Mommas sharing stories and caring for one another is powerful. I look forward to reading your posts!!!!

  4. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I don’t always blog about homeschooling, but will try to every month or so in between ministry posts. I have had fun exploring your blog. Looks like we have many of the same views about teaching and faith.

  5. Thanks for liking my post! Love your blog. I wished I can homeschool but I am not qualified as I was told I need to attend courses for homeschooling in order to be successful in homeschooling. But I will still continue teaching and guiding my little ones and your blog is a great guide for me 😉

    • Homeschooling isn’t for everyone, we each need to pray about our choices and let the Lord lead in our homes. However, I’m not sure who told you that you weren’t qualified. You do not need to take courses in order to homeschool, I’m sure you could do it. Besides, who decides what ‘successful’ is?

Thank you for the encouragement though. I’m blessed to know you enjoyed what you read on our blog. 🙂

  7. It is very nice to ‘meet’ you! I am so glad you happened upon a post of mine and liked it; looking forward to being encouraged by the things you have to share. Homeschooling is definitely not a one-man task – so I’ll be stopping by often for words to boost me along 🙂

  8. Thank you so much for stopping by my Blog today. I am just preparing to start my, and my daughter’s, homeschool adventure as soon as this school year ends. (She is in public school right now and I am pulling her starting next year). I am working as hard and quickly as I can to get a viable curriculum set up and am trying to to be too nervous about the whole thing. It really was very encouraging to have someone like a post who is as experienced as you seem to be. Thanks for putting some extra wind in my sails!

    • I am so blessed to know you were encouraged.

I’m sure you’ll find the best curriculum to meet your daughter’s needs. Trust me, we’ve all been there and experienced those moments of worry. We will be keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers as you start this new adventure!

Keep us posted on how things progress. 🙂

  11. God’s richest blessings to you and your family. I noticed you have followed my blog and a few of my posts. I have added your blog to my follows and reading schedule. May God grant you courage and abundant joy in your endeavors…I know with my wife–our son would not be the great young man he is becoming. I am very big on encouraging moms and dads to be leaders in the homeschool environment–not just passive providers of funds.

  13. I would like to thank you, from the bottom of my heart. As a novice homeschooler and also a novice blogger it is very encouraging to see you visiting and liking my blog so often. I may sound really confident but I am really on unsure footing with pulling my daughter from public school and having to work full time while homeschooling. Every time you hit the “like” button it is almost like that is my permission to know that I am on the right track!!! Thank you so much for the support.

  15. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I was so glad to see your visit as I already follow your blog and feel like we’re friends :-). I’ve been homeschooling for 15 years and have two who have graduated and two little ones so I have a long time to go :-). Your family is beautiful and you seem to be doing an amazing job. Perhaps sometime we’ll run into each other at a homeschool conference. Blessings on your journey.

  17. Hi, I’ve attempted to use the above email address to contact you. However it bounces me back, it is probably on my end. I am really enjoying your content, in fact one of the posts I read really inspired me. Id like to link to it, if I ever get it written, would that be ok?
    Thanks again!

  18. Thanks for liking my recent photography post / poem. Did you notice the little surprise I put in the last photo? It’s something I think you would appreciate. Look at the sun in the last photo with your screen at a slight angle, and you should be able to see it.

It works on my computer, anyway. I’m just curious if other people can see it on their screens. 🙂

  19. Saw your post about Kiddle. You should also take a look at KidzSearch.com, which has been keeping kids safe online for over 10 years and is used in many schools. It is similar to Kiddle, but has more features.
